A Matched Pair Of George IV Irish Library Armchairs Attributed To Williams & Gibton - c.1830

A curvaceous and comfortable matched pair of George IV library armchairs, of lovely original colour - one in mahogany, the other in simulated rosewood, with scroll arms and turned fluted legs terminating in period brass castors.

Stripped back to calico and hessian, ready for new top covers.

Attributed to Williams & Gibton, Irish, Dublin c.1830.

The chairs differ very slightly in size (see images).

Condition:

In good condition, very strong, the simulated chair with some old worm holes (re treated by us). Ready to go for some new top fabric.

Dimensions:

99 cm high (seat height 44 cm) x 61 cm wide x 92 cm deep (the larger chair).
