A Large Victorian Pine Bacon Tavern Settle - c.1860

A fantastic Victorian pine bacon settle, of curved panelled form, having three cupboards below the seat and two full height cupboards to the back (where bacon would have been hung to cure).

The high arms and back provide good protection from draughts and afford lots of privacy. 

Provenance: From a property near Dorchester.

Condition:

In original, as found condition, with no major issues. Lacks locks / closures to cupboards behind but we can easily fit these if required. General wear and tear. Lacking skirting on the left hand side.

Dimensions:

156 cm high (seat height 46 cm) x 215 cm wide x 95 cm deep
