P.D. Malloch Of Perth 4 3/4" Victorian Fly Reel - 1890's

A late Victorian Malloch brass fly reel, having an ebonite (early form of plastic) face plate to one side and a matching rim to the other, surrounding the brass faceplate which retains some of its original silver finish. The reel has a horn handle and a 10 cm smooth brass foot.

Dimensions:

2 1/8” thick (excluding handle)

Condition:

One screw missing from one of the pillars supporting the foot. Finish worn. Action quite stiff. Handle doesn’t rotate. Foot appears slightly bent down at the front.
